Troubleshooting

Before you contact our technical support regarding problems or difficulties using 24U SimpleHASP Plug-In, please check if your issue is not listed below:

The plug-in functions return an "?" as a result
The 24U SimpleHASP Plug-In is probably not installed or deactivated in your application preferences. Open the Application Preferences from the Edit menu, click on the "Plug-Ins" tab, and make sure that 24U SimpleHASP Plug-In is there and that it is enabled.

The plug-in doesn't appear in Preferences
Try install drivers for HASP keys. These drivers come up with our plugin and are placed in Support folder.

I still can't find out the reason for error messages.
Make sure correct HASP HL key is inserted inside USB slot. This plug-in is designed for HASP HL keys. If you have older HASP 4 keys, it will not work.

I purchased HASP HL keys from Aladdin Knowledge Systems (or SafeNet). Are they compatible with the Gemalto ones?
HASP HL keys changed their owner quite frequently in last years, but as long as you use HASP HL (or newly named Sentinel HASP HL by Gemalto) with updated firmware, the product is the same.

What do feature_id, file_id and other terms mentioned in documentation mean in the context of HASP HL products?
For detailed list of used terms and their meaning, consult the official documentation Glossary or your HASP HL guide.

If your problem is not listed above or if the recommended solution does not work for you, please contact our technical support at http://www.24uSoftware.com/support.php for assistance.
