This year has brought several in-person FileMaker conferences, taking place all around the world and we are delighted to support five of them as a sponsor. Claris Engage 2024 in the U.S. is already over. We'll support Reconnect.Brisbane in Australia remotely, but FileMaker Konferenz in Liechtenstein, Rome FileMaker Week in Italy, and EngageU in Sweden will all have us there in person and presenting FileMaker performance news and stories. Claris Engage 2024

It all started in February with the first Claris-hosted in-person event since the last FileMaker DevCon in 2019. Claris Engage 2024 took place in the Apple Conference Center in Austin, Texas and was full of new and highly technical content. Recordings of all sessions are now available to everyone in the Claris Academy section of the Claris Community. We supported this year's Claris Engage remotely as a morning break sponsor...

 

 

Reconnect.Brisbane

Another conference we support as a premium sponsor at least remotely is Reconnect 2024 in Brisbane, Australia on September 5-6. Reconnect is the only in-person Claris FileMaker developer conference in the Asia-Pacific region this year and it's organized by developers for developers, so expect a lot of inspiration, relevant technical details and an extreme cumulation of FileMaker experience. If Australia is easier for you to reach than Europe, make sure you do not miss this event!

 

 

For those of you who manage to get there, we'll be with you not only in our thoughts. HOnza Koudelka will also connect live in the end of the last session on Thursday - the one presented by Alexis Allen. FileMaker Konferenz

For German-speaking developers, a small group of enthusiastic developers from Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland started organizing regular conferences back in 2010. We first sponsored this conference in 2016 and we felt so much like surrounded by a family there, so we started sponsoring FileMaker Konferenz regularly, except for a small break caused by the pandemic.

 

 

This year the conference is coming back to the beautiful mountain village Malbun in Liechtenstein, October 2-4. If you prefer German over English, don't hesitate and get your ticket while you still can. With two parallel session tracks, you'll surely not get bored. As a bonus, the fresh alpine air will undoubtedly make your brain absorb all the new knowledge faster.

While there, make sure you don't miss HOnza's session on FileMaker performance on Thursday morning. HOnza will share not only updates from our testing of Claris FileMaker 2024 but also a fresh story of our own web based client portal optimization (with FileMaker in the backend), in which we were able to cut an operation taking over 22 seconds to less than 1 second, making it over 20 times faster.

 

 

 

Rome FileMaker Week

After returning from Malbun, we're going to the next Rome FileMaker Week, hosted by FMGuru and Direct Impact Solutions, this year themed in the style of Indiana Jones. This Italian conference is going to capture you for the whole week from October 7 to October 13! As a "Grail of Greatness Premium Sponsor", we'll be there with you all the time, even with our whole team!

 

 

If you decide to get the most out of the conference, you'll start by spending two days exploring the ancient Rome with us from the FileMaker developer's perspective, and get used to the Italian style of life, humor, history and adventures. From Thursday to Saturday, you will go through a stream of technical sessions presented by speakers from all over the world, including 24U and the Dial of FileMaker Destiny, The Chopito Quest, Panel discussion and FileMaker and the Temple of Performance Doom. Primary language of the conference will be English, but real-time translation will be available as subtitles via Zoom, courtesy of artificial intelligence... There will be one main in-person track and one extra digital track for those of you who want to learn even more.

Finally, on Sunday you will have a chance to let Giulio Villani help you succeed in the new Claris micro-certifications.

 

EngageU

Last but definitely not least one this year is already a third instance of EngageU, a classic almost DevCon-like (but more European) style conference, successor of the DevCon Scandinavia coming back to beautiful Malmö, right across the bridge from Denmark. Scheduled for November 17-19 and hosting even four speakers from Claris, including CEO Brad Freitag as a speaker, there is no doubt this conference will be a great last FileMaker event of the year to attend.

 

 

Four parallel tracks of highly technical sessions are set to be no short of new knowledge to gain, demos to inspire and questions to answer. Agenda is still being prepared as of this writing because the restless enthusiastic organizers from Square Moon and ClickWorks have received a lot more quality session proposals than they can fit in the tight conference schedule.
