The company needed a more efficient way to inform team members about urgent issues, such as support requests or incomplete tasks. The existing system relied on in-software notifications or emails, which were easily overlooked or delivered with delays.
We integrated Slack with the FileMaker solution to have notifications sent directly to Slack channels. This was achieved by configuring an API that allowed FileMaker to send HTTP requests to Slack, automatically posting messages to the appropriate channels. Thanks to this solution, urgent notifications are immediately visible to the relevant team members, significantly improving communication and response times. Furthermore, the system is fully customizable, allowing users to set which types of notifications they want to receive and how – whether through Slack, email, or both.
