The client manages a FileMaker-based software for controlling aircraft parking slots at an airport and was looking for a solution that would allow their clients to make simple and fast online reservations.
We developed a web reservation portal integrated with the FileMaker database via the FileMaker Data API. Users can fill out a form with flight details, such as the aircraft type, registration number, and arrival time. They can also select optional services, such as catering or refueling. To ensure seamless interaction between the FileMaker database and the website through the Data API, we used our custom tool fmRESTor.
Once the reservation is successfully processed, the system generates a confirmation and sends it to the user by email. In case of a cancellation, the change is immediately recorded, and the user receives a cancellation confirmation via email. The system was designed to be user-friendly and enable quick and hassle-free reservations.
